2000

In one of the most dynamic and dominating triathlon seasons ever raced, McCormack began a race winning rampage in 2000 that would span two more years and rubbed salt into the wounds of many doubters as he recaptured the World #1 ranking.

Having been controversially left off the Australian Olympic Team, McCormack went on a race-winning rampage that still to this day is the most potent in the sport history. He capped a season of 11 wins from 11 starts by taking the crown at the Los Angeles Triathlon, the “world’s richest triathlon.”
