African Parks is a non-profit conservation organisation that takes on the complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks in partnership with governments and local communities. They currently manage 17 national parks and protected areas in 11 countries covering over 13.3 million hectares in: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
McCormack signed on to partner with African Parks Network to raise awareness for the amazing work they do in wildlife conservation and creating a symbiotic relationship between country and conservation.
In 2020 eight African Parks rangers from five different parks as well as three donor runners began training under McCormack to run the London Marathon representing African Parks and embody the determination and efforts required to protect Africa’s most diverse and threatened wild landscapes.
